Postdoc Appreciation Week: Dr. Caroline Kisielinski

This Postdoc Appreciation Week, we want to recognize Dr. Caroline Kisielinski. Caroline is officially a postdoctoral researcher with Rolfe Mandel and the Odyssey Archaeological Research Program, but their impact on the Norman Archaeology Lab has been foundational. They apply sedimentary ancient DNA methods to answer paleoenvironmental questions by using genetic signatures in dated sediments to reconstruct past plant and animal communities alongside our archaeological and geological work.

Beyond the science, Caroline was instrumental in getting NAL off to a great start. They helped establish the lab's early best practices and continue to offer invaluable support as we build our group culture. We are grateful for their expertise and partnership.
